Isis Oasis (20889 Geyserville Ave, Geyserville, CA 95441-9531) is at
the star. We live in Petaluma. We recommend you stay in Geyserville, Healdsburg, Santa Rosa, Petaluma, or inbetween. |

We have reserved the entire wedding site for the weekend (Saturday noonish through to Monday morning). Lodging is available very reasonably. If you'd like to stay somewhere else, you're in luck, Sonoma County is wine country, a huge tourist destination. The place is brimming with hotels. Highway 101 is the main thoroughfare and you'll note that the space between towns tends to be green and not built on (this is deliberate). For more on hotels, check out our Hotel Page.
The wedding is in Geyserville, a small town near the northern end of the county. Geyserville has one bed and breakfast in town and a couple of expensive inns further out.
The town above Geyserville, Cloverdale, doesn't have much and is further from the rest of things (including our home) so we don't recommend it.

10 minutes south of Geyserville is Healdsburg, a wonderful little town with nice restaurants, antique shops, and lots of little stores. Plenty of lodging there.
Go south another 10 minutes and you're in Santa Rosa, the largest city in the county. Downtown and nearby Railroad Square are both great to walk around in. Lots of bookstores, restaurants, shops, even a mall. Plus you're next to the hub of transportation for the county.
Rohnert Park has mostly strip malls and chain stores. Cotati is a cute little town.
About 20 minutes south of Santa Rosa is where we live, Petaluma. Petaluma is a great town with just about everything within a short distance. Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, supermarkets, banks, a ton of restaurants, parks, chain stores, local stores, a library, and more. Santa Rosa has all these things very spread out and most other towns are smaller. The only other town like Petaluma is Sebastopol, which is slightly smaller but funkier and more interesting.
The star is our home, 735 Gossage Ave. The pink square to the right of us is the outlet mall. The big green area by Payran is the fairgrounds and library. Downtown is at the intersection of Washington and Petaluma Blvd., radiating mostly westward for a couple of blocks. |

About 10 minutes west of Santa Rosa, along highway 12. Or 20 minutes northwest from Petaluma, along highways 101 and 116. Great lefty green town with lots of organic shops and food, bookstores, and a fun downtown.

We don't recommend you stay in coastal towns because the roads getting to and from there are slow, but they're good places to visit or extend your vacation. Point Reyes Station is beautiful with a nice (though small) downtown (with the Coyuchi organic linens outlet). Bodega Bay is famous but is really a nothing town that you can't walk around in (unless you fancy walking alongside a highway with no shoulders). Further north is Gualala, which has camping and is supposed to be quite nice. Beyond that is the Mendocino coast. Further south, you hit Marin County, which has gorgeous vistas and cliffs and an entirely different look from pastoral Sonoma County.
Another great area to visit is Guerneville and other towns along the Russian River. Because of winding roads, it takes about 20 minutes to get from Guerneville to 101 near Fulton.
